• Telecommunications Technology Association of Korea (TTA) announced the international standard meeting of Q.8 (Telebiometrics) and Q.9 (Secure Communication Services) under ITU-T SG17 (Security, Languages and Telecommunication Software) will be held from July 23 to 25 at the Convention Center in the campus of Inha University.
  
  Major draft standards under development in the area of Q.8 and Q.9 are related to the protection methods and procedure for telebiometrics information, key generation using telebiometrics information, authentication and authorization framework for home-networking, P2P security structure and authentication mechanism, mobile web service message protection, safe application protocol (X.sap-1), and network-based RFID authentication, according to TTA.
  
  By hosting the international standard conference, Korea will have an ample opportunity to promote its information security technology in the world standard community and to gain the upper hand in the global market of important security technologies such as telebiometrics, home-network and RFID.
